I want to take this chapter and explain why some of the items on the list in the last chapter can be gateways to demonic interference. We won't take time to go through them all, but here are a few, including some that weren’t on the list.

ADD, FAS, DYSLEXIA, ETC.

Dyslexia seems to be a problem with the "wiring" in the brain. I have heard testimonies of children that were healed of the problem, and they tell of seeing angels bending down over them and rearranging the nerves in their head. When Jesus was asked why the blind man had been blind, whether it was for his sin or his parents’ sin. Jesus replied neither, that it was for the glory of God. The man suffered all of his life so that God could be glorified by allowing Jesus to heal the man. My point is that regardless of whether ADD, FAS, and the like are spiritual or physical problems, let’s seek to glorify God by taking authority over the problem and coming against it in prayer. Not just once, but daily if necessary. Let's not let our children suffer because of our prayerlessness. God will not ignore the prayers of his people.

Another factor that we shouldn’t neglect to consider regarding ADD is the fact that many children with the disorder are very low in Magnesium, Omega fatty-acids and DHA. With a little research to find the correct dosage, you can then administer supplements. Emulsified Cod Liver oil is a wonderful, inexpensive source for the DHA and now comes in tasty flavors. Flaxseed oil will provide the essential fatty acids Omega 3, 6 and 9 that will help the brain to function better. Lastly, consider that a child with ADD might be suffering from a Yeast overgrowth called Candida. If you child has ever taken two or more rounds of antibiotics in a year, or has FAS, the good bacteria has been killed off in their body and fertile ground for yeast has been cultivated. The Yeast Connection is a wonderful book that will give you more detail’s if you suspect this may be a problem.

ANGEL WORSHIP

A true angel of God would never receive worship. When the angel of the Lord had spoken to John in Revelation 19:10, John said, "Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said, 'No! Don't! For I am a servant of God just as you are...’" This scene is also repeated in Revelation 22:9, but this time after the angel forbids John to worship him, he adds, "Worship God alone." Dark, fallen angels on the other hand would encourage it to keep the focus off God. Also, Satan is capable of appearing as an angel of light. "Yet, I am not surprised! Satan can change himself into an angel of light, so it is no wonder his servants can do it too, and seem like a godly minister."--II Corinthians 11:14-15.

Therefore, one should conclude that any angel that receives or encourages worship of himself, is not from God. "Don't let anyone declare you lost when you refuse to worship angels, as they say you must."--Colossians 2:18. " ...for the angels are only spirit-messengers sent out to help and care for those who are to receive his salvation."--Hebrews 1:14.

ANTI-CHRIST SPIRIT

"And who is the greatest liar? The one who says that Jesus is not Christ. Such a person is anti-Christ, for he does not believe in God the Father and in his Son."--I John 2:22. The anti-Christ spirit is one that is against Christ, it does not mean that one is The Anti-Christ. Paul is a good example, "For even before I was born God had chosen me to be his, and called me - what kindness and grace - to reveal his Son within me..."--Galatians 1:15-16. Before his conversion, Paul was against Christ. God’s purpose for Paul was to preach the gospel, yet God allowed Paul to persecute and kill many Christians before he brought the apostle into his divine purpose. Please note that I said God allowed him to persecute, God did not cause this action but allowed it by not preventing it. There is a strong anti-Christ spirit released into the world today. If our children are not walking with the Lord, this is a spirit that will work to keep them from it. We must continue to bind this spirit so that our children may receive salvation and further deliverance.

ASTROLOGY

I know that most of us don't worship the sun, moon and stars, yet I do know that many live and die by their horoscopes and charts. This is what the Father has had to say on the subject. "And do not look up into the sky to worship the sun, moon, or stars. The Lord may permit other nations to get away with this, but not you--Deuteronomy 4:19. Don’t act like the people who make horoscopes and try to read their fate and future in the stars! Don’t be frightened by predictions such as theirs, for it is all a pack of lies. Their ways are futile and foolish."—Jeremiah 10:2-2.
